Biggest loser now due to everything = Rashad Evans

he must feel really ****ing stupid now

1. waits almost a year for Shogun

2. gets injured when Shogun is ready

3. Shogun now fights a teammate of his who has a good shot at winning the title

4. could possibly not fight for title now if Jones wins

anyone think this will teach all fighters not to wait it out when a champ is injured???

That logic doesn't make sense to me.

How would things have changed if he had taken another non title fight. He wins and he's still in the same position he's in now and then he has the knee injury and he'd still be screwed. And if he loses that's that.

he is back to the original idea though now that someone else steps in to take his title shot

he lost out on a payday and rust was a factor already and now it plays an even bigger factor with a longer layoff

The only thing he misses out on is a payday. But you have to measure that against the fact that you get a bigger pay day with a title shot.

If he loses like Grispi did to Poutier when Aldo got injured then you forgo the bigger money you get with the title shot.

He made the right decision. The knee injury is a separate issue from his decision.

Rashad has always been the biggest loser in my mind.

If anything there's more of a risk of getting injured taking an extra meaningless fight before a title fight.

Injuries in training, those things happen. Really not much you can do to change that.
