The most tragic figure in MMA history?

This was a long time coming. As usual MMAFighting.net is first to discuss what matters most in MMA today.

Well?

I'm going with Chuck Liddell

the consistent knockouts were just so brutal. At least other guys even if they got beat up still hung in there and took some shots. Liddell just was painful to watch and almost sad at times and now he is forced to be a "PR" guy.

He went from the very top to a well paid mascot

What was the name of that guy who went undefeated in some small Texas org and then quit fighting to drive a Dodge Viper?

That's not tragic.

We should all be so fortunate.

Sakuraba easily. Lets be honest, he should be dead by now. I mean it's to the point now where his body parts are falling off in the ring..and yet they keep booking him for fights.

Tragic. Someone as amazing and influential as Sak was should have been able to retire and be treated like a king from that point on, but instead they want to see him die in the ring so they can make money off it.

Good thread.

I'd vote for Mark Kerr, but he's not there.

Man, do I ever want to see The Smashing Machine.
