Rogan calls Fedor a fatty

Interesting video on mmaweekly.com in which Rogan talks about the evolution of the sport and how the Last Emperor can no longer get away with going into a fight with elite competition while he has a spare tire around his waist.

Oh, and I'm anticipating some of you will write something to the effect:

"I thought the thread title was Rogan rolls Fedor a fatty."

A little hemp humour...

Hey, that sounds kinda like what I said, only I said it ages ago and before he got stopped twice in a row.

And we're all very proud of you and will be sure to put the that post on the refrigerator. But before Fedor got finished twice he was rolling over dudes, so why change a clearly working formula? It's a very old cliche but.... if ain't broke don't fix it. But now that Fedor's formula isn't working I guess that is what warrants change in his lifestyle and training, if he no longer has the desire to make those changes he should just hang it up.

1. He wasn't rolling over dudes, that's the point. There were clues in his fights that his way wasn't working.

2. If your car explodes when you go 50 mph, that's not a problem if you never drive over 20 mph. Still, I'd suggest fixing it before going on the freeway.

A tired and useless cliche in this case. The point of the cliche was basically "don't keep trying to fix things because you can make them worse." Yeap that's true in a lot of cases, but not sports. In sports you must constantly evolve, improve, and adapt. In that case you are technically "always broken" and must never stop "fixing" things. The second you get complacent is when someone hungrier and willing to work for it takes you out.
