by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Feb 24, 2011 at 8:30 am ET

As a reminder, the UFC's traditional pre-event preview show returns tonight with the debut of "Countdown to UFC 127" on Spike TV.

The pay-per-view event takes place Sunday at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. Headlined by a welterweight contender fight between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch, the card airs in the U.S. in the UFC's traditional Saturday-night slot due to the time difference.

The preview show debuts tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Versus. The first Spike TV airing follows at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.

A replay airs Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV.

The in-depth "Countdown" show focuses primarily on the welterweight main event between former dual-division champion Penn and perennial contender Fitch, who has won an astounding 21 of his past 22 contests.

In addition to the main event, the preview show also previews the middleweight co-feature between middleweight sluggers Michael Bisping and Jorge Rivera, as well as a key lightweight contest between German striker Dennis Siver and Australia's own George Sotiropoulos.

already watched it on MMA-CORE.com, it was pretty good. Jorge really gets to you in his segment.....dont want to give anything away but I have a new found respect for the guy after all he's been through.

I was rooting for him before anyway but now I just wanna see him demolish Bitchping in the first round.

sweet ..... i've always kinda liked Jorge, he's not one of my favorite's but he seems like a down to earth type of guy but i never really knew anything about the guy personally wise, so this should be nice to get an in-depth look at him outside the cage. i can't wait to watch it

Thanks for the reminder Jkrhome. I've been missing these lately, and I always enjoy them. I wish the UFC would do more documentaries on a lot of their fighters and advertise these more so the general public would learn more about these guys.
