Owner of one of the sharpest trocações MMA today, the striker Edson Barbosa Junior drew attention in his two victories in the UFC, and is tipped to return to fight in the organization of Brazil, on August 27.

However, following the tatami, Edson has a chance to fight in the event and, according to the Japanese journalist Shinichi Saito, the traditional journal Kamipro, your opponent may be Japan's Takanori Gomi.

Former Pride champion, failed to yield Gomi their full potential in Ultimate. After the debut defeat by submission to Kenny Florian, Tyson Griffin knocked out the Japanese, but then eventually ended by Clay Guida.

If it is confirmed all the rumors, UFC River can count on the fight between Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami at the middleweight belt, and the rematch between Forrest Griffin and Mauricio Shogun, besides the participation of Rodrigo Minotauro

I hope this gets finalized. Exciting fight for sure. I think this would be a competitive fight too.

Sounds like Shogun/Griffin II is rumored as well.

Looks like they're also implying Griffin and Shogun will also rematch.

I think this'll be a good fight. I don't think Barboza is good enough on the mat to choke Gomi out, but hopefully Gomi comes in after an adequate training camp and gives a good fight.

Big fight for both guys, as Gomi's stock would be hurt by a loss to a young up and comer and Barboza would benefit from a win against a veteran.

I think it will happen after he lands a nice head kick. Gomi's striking defense isn't that great, and Barboza hits hard. i could also see an Azeredo scenario where Barboza looks 2 steps ahead of Gomi on the feet, but then gets blasted and his lights go out.

Should be a good match, regardless. Just hoping Gomi shows up in good shape.
