I'm a huge couture fan but I find it hard to believe he'll sub machida. If he's gonna win its gonna be via holding against the fence decision. Though it would be sweet to see machida get choked out with the arm triangle.

I plan on putting Gina on her back and making her submit to me. Both have a similar chance of happening.

Sounds like the HGH has finally gotten the better of him

I was actually expecting Randy to try and trade high-kicks with Machida.

Whenever a fighter talks about the game plan for an upcoming fight, you can pretty much ignore it.

Randy, or any other fighter with half a brain, isn't going to come out and describe the actual game plan they are going to try and implement. Any fighter (at this level) has info on the opponents strengths, weaknesses, and style, so you can make certain assumptions...Couture isn't going to go for any flying armbars anytime soon...But if he is saying he plans to take the guy down and submit him, he's likely making those statements in order to make his actual game plan more effective...

If Machida is worried about being taken down and submitted, then Randy's clinch work and dirty boxing become that much more effective.

I see Randy using the cage, clinch, and dirty boxing as usual. He'll try and get it to the ground at some point, but he's not submitting Machida. Couture isn't going to be throwing up subs from the bottom or taking risks with a guillotine. If he's on top, he's not going to risk losing position with anything fancy and would only be looking for kimuras and americanas or possibly an anaconda choke if it presents itself during the fight....and Machida can defend against those.

My head says Machida by TKO in the 2nd, but I could see Couture grinding out a decision.
