A few sites are speculating on who Belfort's next opponent will be. Is Paul Harris available? How about Damian Maia? I wouldn't mind seeing him take on either of those guys.

Vitor Belfort was getting ready to fight Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight title, but he already said he wanted to be part of UFC Rio, on August 27h. The loss at UFC 126 wasn’t on the Phenom’s plans, but he still waits for an opponent to be part of the show.

“Lorenzo (Fertitta) called me ans said he’s trying to find me an opponent, but it’s hard to do it. Wanderlei (Silva) challenged me and then started talking thing on the internet, so I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I’m ready, my dream is to fight at UFC Rio,” Belfort said, talking to “I believe the fighters found out that I’m hungrier than ever to fight”.

While waiting for any confirmation on Vitor Belfort, UFC confirmied Anderson Silva vs Yushin Okami as UFC Rio main event, and Maurício Shogun vs Forrest Griffin will also take place on the card. Rodrigo ‘Minotauro’ Nogueira and Royce Gracie are also rumored to fight at Rio de Janeiro’s historic show.

“The new Belfort” wins international debut in 13 seconds

Belfort called TATAME, happier than ever, to tell his pupil César ‘Mutante’ won his international debut in only 13 seconds. “You have no idea what was the fight, he got the KO in only 13 seconds… It was beautiful,” celebrated Vitor.

The fight against Greg Jackson’s product Chaun Sims, at Ring of Fire, made Belfort think ahead. “He’s a phenom, a better version of me. I want to see him in the UFC or Strikeforce… Mark my words, he’ll be the UFC middleweight champion in two years”, he said.

TATAME spoke with ‘Mutante’, who celebrated the win. “I have trained evry hard with Randy Couture and Vitor, I worked a lot on the strategy, and sharpened my striking with Ray Sefo… I’m very happy,” Cesar said, heppy to see Belfort wanting to see him in the UFC. “That’s why I came to the USA, I wanna fight against the best”.

Maia is fighting Munoz

The only available guys worth mentioning would be Bisping and Sonnen but I think they are fighting each other eventually so that cancels them out.

I think Akiyama is ready provided his whole Japan situation is better now for him. Other than that I think the only name worth mentioning is probably Alan Belcher. If none of the 4 mentioned then there really is nothing he can do but wait unless Rich Franklin wants to come back to 185.

It appears maybe Royce may have a rightful opponent afterall... Sure, hed have to bulk up (a ton), but im sure he could call fellow countrymen Thiago Silva for the hookup on some miracle-meds thatll help with that matter... Lets face, Royce himself has been guilty of it before
