Bellator's new signing Rasul Mirzaev has killed someone.

Ok, so this is a young kid who was at a club with his girl, and apparently some guy was talking to Mirzaev's girlfriend too much, and Mirzaev confronted him, then punched him. The kids who was 19 years old was knocked unconscious, and hit his head on the ground. After he woke up he asked a friend to drive him home, and the kid collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. He died a few days later from the trauma to the head. Apparently Mirzaev is facing up to 15 years in a Russian prison for this. So far he's admitted to hitting the kid, and basically his defense is that him punching the kid didn't kill him, but when he fell, his head hit the ground and that's what did it.

Now, let me start by saying that I understand being pissed, but a pro MMA fighter (even a young one) needs to understand you just can't do this ****. Sucks for everyone involved here, but as for me I hope this kid never gets to fight in Bellator. I for one, won't watch a card that he's on out of principle.

I'm just posting this to see anyone else's view on this. Here's a video of it, although it's absolutely atrocious quality. I almost didn't put this video it's so bad, but eh, whatever. I didn't film it.

**** like this happens all too much in clubs.

People don't realize how severe the consequences can be from a simple bar fight.

Yeah, pretty ****ty of him.

However, if he can prove that there was some kind of confrontation (i.e. the guy who was talking to his gf got in his face or something) - his defense is 100% valid (at least in the US). He won't be charged with murder and will probably take a lesser charge of assault or something (with a deadly weapon if he was licensed at the time).

It's in Russia though, and all bets are off in a foreign country.

this happens all of the time. this was just one of the unfortunate conciquences that resulted in a flukish death. i remember hearing lightning lee murray ko'd tito outside of a club. my point is it was an extremely unfortunate situation. i would definately watch this kid fight but he obviously made a mistake that will almost certainly cost him dearly.

Also, I think the point people are failing to recognize is that he probably won't fight for Bellator in the near future anyway

He shoulda just gave him a mean leg kick. Gotta use better judgment as a pro fighter. I mean seriously you can kill people.
