If Anderson beats Okami, Silva vs Dan Henderson or Chael Sonnen for Fox main event

The stakes in this Saturday night's (Aug. 27) UFC 134 main event contest in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, may have just gotten a whole lot higher ... at least for one of the two participants.

That's because Anderson Silva, with a victory, may be pegged as the headliner of the UFC on FOX debut special event on Nov. 12 in Anaheim, California. And his opponent, according to reports from Tatame, would be Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson.

The fight, were it to happen, would take place at middleweight and would presumably be for the 185-pound title. In the event that Henderson does not agree to terms with Zuffa on the fight, Chael Sonnen would reportedly be taken out of his fight against Brian Stann and would be granted his rematch against Silva.

Stann would then potentially go on to fight Vitor Belfort.

It should be noted that this is just speculation at this point and plans can change at the drop of a hat. Adding to the intrigue, though, is the fact that Dana White informed the LA Times he would wait until after UFC 134 this weekend to determine his plan for the FOX show.

Stay tuned to for more on this story as it develops.

Don´t want to be a dick about it but can´t we move this to the FOX main event thread? Having two threads with basically the same topic seems kinda redundant

Henderson by KO, rd. 1!

Seriously though, I'd rather see Henderson vs. Sonnen than see either guy get a crack at a title shot they don't deserve.

Then again, I guess there aren't too many other people at MW. I'd like to see either guy do at least 1 fight before a title shot though.

Hendo would be the better pick (2 posts by Ash probably whining about how terrible a fight would be with Hendo not withstanding) simply due to the fact that he's much more recognizable to the casual fan and not coming off of a steroid/money laundering suspension.

I think I'd still rather see Brock/Overeem.

I just read this and personally would love to see either. To be honest i would like to see chael get on fight before he fights silva to get rid of the ring rust so there is no excuses but if i had to pick i would want to see chael fight silva again. That fight was one of my favorites and want to see part two. I want to see if chael can relive the magic he had in the first fight and not get caught in a triangle. The henderson fight against silva wasnt as exciting for me.
