No sane doctor is going to advise a man who had to have a foot of his intestines removed that taking up / resuming a career in full contact cage fighting is the best thing for his health. Doctors are going to give the most reasonable advice they can for the health of a patient. That does not mean that they doctors are saying 'If you do this it will result in your death'.

As I mentioned somewhere else, there are always rumors about Brock. In any given month, there will be the following:

- Brock is going to go to WWE because he lost his last fight

- Brock is going to go to WWE because he has health issues

- Brock is going to quit MMA because he cannot handle the beatings

- Brock is going to quit MMA because he has health issues

- Brock is going to WWE because he has steroid issues

- Brock is raise handsome geese

Brock could fall over dead and the next day there would be a rumor that Vince McMahon is going to dig up his carcass and have him main event Wrestlemania in a fatal four way for the WWE title against John Cena, The Rock, and Hulk Hogan.

Playing devils advocate for the moment, I think that Brock is going to stay in MMA at least long enough to try to get one more run at the heavyweight title. If he loses 2 in a row during a comeback attempt, I think he will retire at that point. Alternately, if his diverticulitis does flare up again and force him out of another match, then he might retire.

In any case, I am not going to believe anything regarding Brock's career status in MMA until it is said directly by Brock or by Dana. Anything with an attribution no better than 'multiple sources close to his camp' is not entirely credible.

Brock Lesnar's shooting start move in WWE is now his legacy in MMA (tell those writing hacks that they can use that for their next headline ).

And yet we have a highly active thread for UFC on Fox main events that include a lot of speculation that Brock may be involved. Announcement comes Friday afternoon.

Stay tuned!

Wouldn't surprise me if it's the end of the road for him.
