i thought the conference was in Vegas????? I can kind of understand him not flying out to Toronto but I would think Dana would call him personally to make the appearance

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego Nick Diaz?

Well, we know where he isn't: at a scheduled media appearance to hype his UFC 137 title fight against Georges St. Pierre on Oct. 29 in Las Vegas.

The Winnipeg Free Press explains:

The UFC offered no reason for Diaz's absence in Toronto but the former Strikeforce champion is no fan of such media events.

St-Pierre said he did not know what was going on in Diaz's life, so he was not going to speculate on the California fighter's reasons for not joining him to hype their Oct. 29 fight in Las Vegas.

But the 30-year-old champion from Montreal says it's a little unfair in that he interrupted his training for the press tour.

Anyone surprised?

Par for the course and one of the reasons he was booted from the UFC originally.

Exactly, repeat offender douchebag.

Doesn't matter if the conference is in Taiwan, Nick should be trying to make it.

Yup, Diaz knows hes not really worthy of the shot and really dont see why this a story. Its Nick Diaz.

If Dana didnt expect this crap when he resigneed him (which still leaves me scratching my head as Dana gone on record saying Diaz refuses to play the game so wouldnt be in UFC again just months before the Sheilds fight).

Sooner this fight comes and goes with a triumphent GSP the better.

If Diaz managed to win somehow, that would set the sport back 10 years appearence wise!
