Middleweight division

With jacare lawler kennedy and now maybe rockhold possibily coming to the UFC will MW still be know as an incredibily shallow division? Does the gap of talent between the the upper and lower division make these possibile additions irrelevant?

Who said they were all coming to the UFC?

This seems very hypothetical.

That said, Kennedy and Rockhold wouldn't beat anyone in the top 20 UFC MWs.

Jacare would likely break the top 5.

you dont think kennedy could wrestle Leben? it is very hypothetical but it would make sense IMO with the lack of depth in the MW division.

so far I haven't seen anything in the guys mentioned to make Dana hot to steal them away.

Kennedy is a feel good story ala Stann so that might get him hired into the UFC.

I think when SF dies that only a small handful of fighters will make it to the UFC.

i don't think any of those guys are really above what the division already has. they'll add more depth in a literal sense, but it's not like any of them are gonna be competing with andy. and that's what the criticism is always about, isn't it? no one really complains about the depth of the middleweight division unless it's in the context of saying that andy is in a weak division. if andy was at 205 and there was more parity at 185, i think a lot of people wouldn't even realize that it's not that deep.

how many of those guys would you pick to defeat alan belcher, chris leben, chael sonnen, demian maia, mark munoz, etc?

jacare's basically one dimensional (though i think he's improving on that), rockhold and kennedy are somewhere around the level of the guys listed (but not better), and lawler isn't that good. so i'm not sure how much they help the perception of the division.
