Reports are surfacing that a welterweight contest between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez is set to be signed for UFC 141 in December.

UFC 141 takes place December 30 from Las Vegas, Nevada. Already set for the card is a heavyweight showdown between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem, along with a welterweight contest pitting Jon Fitch against Johny Hendricks.

Ellenberger (26-5) is coming off the biggest win of his career, knocking out Jake Shields at UFC Fight Night earlier this month. Ellenberger has won five straight fights - all by KO - since a split decision loss to current No. 1 contender Carlos Condit in 2009.

Sanchez (23-4) was scheduled to meet Matt Hughes at UFC 135 this past weekend, but a broken finger suffered during his training camp knocked him out of the fight. Sanchez has won two straight since a pair of losses to B.J. Penn and John Hathaway.

Diego went from a most likely win to a most likely loss, I assume this fight is made to start the potential hype of Ellenberger to a potential title shot

Great fight. I think Diego still loses, but he matches up pretty well with ellenberger IMO.

Diego can take not only one good shot but several. I can't see him getting ko'd here. Should be a good one.

The way Jake has been fighting it's hard to pick against him unless he's fighting Fitch or GSP.

Historically speaking Diego has not done well against elite wrestlers at 170.

There's a very good chance with this fight that Diego's face will, once again, be torn to bloody shreds.
