All the other top guys are already booked up, so it makes sense.

Seems like a bit of a step back for Ellenberger. But he'll kick Sanchez in the face and move onto the next guy.

Step back?

Diego has been a 7 year top 10 guy in the UFC, it's a big match up for Jake and you can't count out a great performance from Diego. Ellenberger no doubt has more KO power but if Diego pushes the pace and makes it a war I can see him getting the decision or late tko.

If they make it a headlining fight it could be a great 5 rounder.

Has he? Damn. I guess he has. I guess I'm biased by his losses to Penn and especially Hathaway, then his fake win against Kampmann. That win bad judging win against Kampmann makes me dislike him, even though it's nothing to do with him. I'll try and get over it.

I would have thought a KO of the Strikeforce MW champ who's only significant loss was against the most dominant welterweight champ, who's beaten power strikers like Hendo, would have put him up at the Condit/Diaz/Penn/Koscheck level.

I guess I just don't consider Sanchez that level. *shrug*

I have no doubt that Sanchez can have an exciting fight, he's always been good at exciting. I just thought the KO of Shields would have catapulted Ellenberger higher.

The KO of Shields was impressive but I still disregard it because Shields had just lost his close father and that had to **** with his head the last few weeks of camp.

I think the last 6 rounds we've seen of Diego has been extremely impressive especially after the embarrassing loss to Hathaway.

Should be a good scrap.
