Silva would heal if Bisping came calling - Henderson

Dan Henderson has suggested that Anderson Silva would make a rapid recovery from injury if offered a fight with Michael Bisping.

Silva has gone back to his native Brazil for six months to recuperate from a shoulder injury - and Henderson, who beat Mauricio Shogun Rua at light-heavyweight earlier this month, is pushing for a bout when Silva returns.

However, Henderson is likely to face the winner of Jon Jones v Lyoto Machida at UFC 140, putting Bisping in with a shout of meeting Silva.

Henderson was less than impressed with Bisping's victory over Jason Miller at the TUF 14 finale on Saturday.

"Looked like one guy hadn't fought in a long time and the other guy cut too much weight," Henderson tweeted. "Not hating, just not a great night for either guy - weren't there physically so they looked more like TUF cast than coaches. All the 'injuries' that keep Anderson from a rematch with me or Chael [Sonnen] will heal real fast if they offer Bisping to him."

Oh man. PLEASE let Henderson fight Bisping for a shot at the title.

I think what Hendo is saying is 100% true.

Why wouldn't it be?

If I were Anderson Silva and I was lined up to take on either Henderson or Sonnen and I was hurt - I'd give myself all the time I needed to heal up and be properly prepared for this fights.

If I was offered a money fight with Bisping - I wouldn't need to be as healed. If I were Silva, I could mow through Bisping relatively easily -which would allow me to get paid and get another few months of rest before I had to fight again.

I think Hendo is taking the Chael approach to getting a shot at the title. Unlike Chael, he actually may have a chance.

EDIT: So is he still injured? I remember Machida saying Silva called him up to train for the Jones fight.

I like the new Hendo lately. He's more outspoken, making big money, kicking ass, and getting into cars with 2 young chicks by his side int he latest TMZ video.

As for Anderson, we have to remember Anderson has expressed for awhile he would like to fight Bisping. I think because he views it as easy and factor in Bisping would be a bigger ppv income for him.

I believe he's not truly hurt, i'll say he might have something nagging but he's in no rush to fight Hendo or Chael again and is just keeping them to the side in case something more attractive comes to him such as Bisping
