Is It Just Me?

Or does anyone think that after Anderson beats Chael and then Vitor that he should just go to 205 (as Machida's no longer the champion)?

I mean look at the list of challengers he might be facing after those two. Vitor and Chael are good fighters but these potential number one contender matches?

Chris Leben .vs. Wanderlei Silva

Yoshihiro Akiyama .vs. Michael Bisping

Now I'm assuming UFC is going to make Silva .vs. Leben a number one contender match. And those are the only four left to contend right now at 185.

And what makes me think that either Leben or Wanderlei could beat Anderson? Anderson on his worst day could just beat them easily. They fit right into his style. Not a chance. Leben's fight with Anderson was just embarrassing to watch years ago.

And Akiyama .vs. Bisping? Hell no.

I think he should just move up to 205 if he beats Belfort and Sonnen. Those are the two only decent fighters left.

Nate Marquardt .vs. Palhares is another potentially good match to decide on a big contender but Marquardt lost to Sonnen and already lost to Anderson, I say his chances are small. And Palhares it depends if he wins this one impressively.

Anderson should have been moved up to 205 like two fights ago. He's a complete waste at 185.

I'm interested to see if Vitor has anything to offer, but other then that you're exactly right.

The Thales and Maia fights were useless and he was just an ass in both. But you can't blame the Maia one as Maia was a replacement. I always wanted to see Anderson fight Belfort after Belfort beat Franklin, you can't deny Belfort is now the best at 185 next to Anderson after that.

I was so excited for that matchup and when it fell through and he was replaced by Maia I was a bit pissed. I think Belfort would have fit into his style better and made it more exciting.

The only useful fights he's really had were against Franklin (twice), and Hendo at 185. I don't hold much merit to his wins over Cote, Leites, and Maia. He could have fought Lutter the same way he fought the other three, but luckily for all of us he didnt, and it was an exciting fight. I agree, he should have moved up to 205 a while ago.

If he beats the living dog shit out of sonnen, he should get an immediate title shot against the winner of Rashad/rua.

If he has another bullshit performance, put him in with Belfort first.
