Or does anyone think that after Anderson beats Chael and then Vitor that he should just go to 205 (as Machida's no longer the champion)?
I mean look at the list of challengers he might be facing after those two. Vitor and Chael are good fighters but these potential number one contender matches?
Chris Leben .vs. Wanderlei Silva
Yoshihiro Akiyama .vs. Michael Bisping
Now I'm assuming UFC is going to make Silva .vs. Leben a number one contender match. And those are the only four left to contend right now at 185.
And what makes me think that either Leben or Wanderlei could beat Anderson? Anderson on his worst day could just beat them easily. They fit right into his style. Not a chance. Leben's fight with Anderson was just embarrassing to watch years ago.
And Akiyama .vs. Bisping? Hell no.
I think he should just move up to 205 if he beats Belfort and Sonnen. Those are the two only decent fighters left.
Nate Marquardt .vs. Palhares is another potentially good match to decide on a big contender but Marquardt lost to Sonnen and already lost to Anderson, I say his chances are small. And Palhares it depends if he wins this one impressively.
