White impressed with Lesnar's coaching thus far

Some people have criticized Brock Lesnar's capabilities as a coach of the Ultimate Fighter, may it be for his lack of experience, or his desire to stay away from all the lights and cameras. For what it's worth though, Dana White has been impressed with what he's been seeing since taping started almost two weeks ago. He talked to MMA Fighting about it:

"It's been interesting. I'm actually impressed and happy with how competitive they both are and how into it they both are. One of the cool things that happens every season is, guys come on and they totally buy into it and get into it, and end up creating relationships for a lifetime. Brock's been just like that."

"In the whole history of the show, I think we've only ever had Ken Shamrock come on and not give a s---. I think he's the only coach that ever came on and didn't care. Brock's been good so far."

As you might remember a little over a week ago, Roy Nelson told our own Duane Finley about his TUF conspiracy theory, which entailed Lesnar walking out on TUF and Shane Carwin filling in for him to "save the day". Now, the UFC president has responded to this:

"There's no conspiracy. We just don't have anything for Shane right now. We don't have someone for him yet. It's funny that people think Brock is going to drop out. Brock's never dropped out of a fight in his life."

I had a feeling he would do well, people love to hate on him every chance they get, but I feel like that is just a persona he portrays in order to keep his marketability high.

We'll see how it all shapes up being only 2 weeks in and all, can't wait for the season and the fight.

When does this TUF season start?

I mean what is this really? Has Dana White ever came out and trashed someone's coaching before the show was finished or was aired? Of course he's going to compliment Lesnar's coaching.

Pretty much true. I remember people telling me that Brock would never have a chance, and I was in a wait and see approach before his first Mir fight. After that fight though, I was like wo, give this guy some time and he's going to be a somebody. I never even expect Brock to get as far as he has this fast. No one seems to want to give him props for how quickly he became a top guy. After he fought Couture, I knew he'd be freaking hell for anyone to deal with. Even after that fight though, people acted like he couldn't GNP anyone properly and had nit picky lame criticisms.

Brock's a beast and he's still a major work in the making that will improve. A lot of people are writing him off now, because of the Cain fight. Many are going to continue to look real stupid.

I'm with you Red, I hope he manages to keep JDS down and pounds him out, haters will shit a brick then

The real question is, if Lesnar get's knocked around again and loses, will he resign and continue to fight, even I think he will retire if he loses bad again.
