Jon Jones Cocky As Hell?

I like the guy but stuff like these make me question his attitude:

Nothing wrong with being cocky I guess. But really? Does he think he's going to walk past Shogun easily?

I like both guys but sort of hope Shogun wins because of stuff like this. Jones will look like an idiot.

You don't really know exactly what he said. That's just one little line that was reported that was probably over an entire interview or discussion.

Some of you were saying that Jones is cocky in some other thread the other day and that's just crazy at this point. In every interview I've ever watched this kid has come off as more mature than probably 90% of the fighters that compete in this sport. He's been anything but cocky and given nothing but humble responses from everything I've seen from him. That doesn't make him cocky for thinking he's going to win. That makes him confident, but probably little over confident considering the fact that it's Shogun he's facing.

He said it right on the countdown you realize that.

Jon Jones at the UFC 128 presser today agreed to let some dude walk out with him because that was the dude's dream.

Jon Jones owns.

I don't think that any of that makes Jones a cocky person though. If that's the case than we might as well change up the entire definition and the meaning of the word. I've watched every interview I can find of Jones in the last two years and he's been as humble as you could ask for. He's been so humble that he's been pretty boring for the most part in interviews. Hell, he's fighting for the title now though. He's at least allowed to have some confidence in himself. If he says he thinks he is going to win, so what. He's probably training really well and feels unstoppable. It's not like he's sitting back saying that he's going to go in there and put Shogun to sleep or that he's going to retire Shogun or anything crazy that we hear very often from different fighters.

I'm starting to see more and more guys that aren't strong fans of Bones looking for anything they can to criticize this kid now.

Jones' humbleness is an act imo. He's doing it for show to make himself more marketable. Its all about the money. He acts all humble then he pulls "I'm gonna sign autographs as '2011 champion' before he's the champion" gig. He's full of shit. Pretty immature too if you ask me. At the staredowns he refuses to look at his opponent. That shows disrespect if you ask me. At the press conference today he walked all the over over to Shogun's side and got in his face, only to look away. Jones is a fraud.
