Anthony Johnson Injured, Rick Story in Against Marquardt

Anthony Johnson was all set to welcome perennial middleweight contender Nate Marquart to the 170-pound division this coming June 26 at UFC on Versus 4 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; however, an injury has forced him off the card.

Stepping in to replace him will be Rick Story, who gets that big fight he was looking for without having to take on Jon Fitch.

The promotion brought word of the switch via its Twitter account.

More on this in just a bit.

Bummed, was looking forward to Johnson/Marquardt. Solid replacement though, Story is a top ten guy now IMO.

I like this even better. Let Story get in there while he's hot!! Anthony Johnson had a lot of potential to lose this fight as well. I'd like to see Johnson fight one more guy other than Nate on his first 170 fight. Hopefully Johnson's injury isn't all that bad. Johnson needs to hurry up and heal though, because he's wasting a lot of time in his career while he is still very young.

this sucks ...... Marquardt was the big win that AJ needed to big back on track and against such a big name like Nate's is. well i like this Story kid, but i'm alittle bummed out he beat my guy (Alves) !! so i guess i'll go with Marquardt to win his 170 debut hahaha Nate should win anyways ..... (paper wise)

Wow... I am totally baffled by the crazy hype behind both Story and AJ. I don't think either of those guys can hang with GSP, Fitch, Shields, Diaz or Condit. I think Rory could beat either of them but it would be a close fight. I think people are giving Story way too much credit for his wall-n-stall victory against Alves. I think AJ is going to be the worst looking fighter of all time if he ever does make it to a fourth round. He may just pass out mid round due to dehydration. Don't get me started on Marquardt, he has no business at 170 either.

170 sucks dick right now. The only guys I'm excited to watch are Condit, Diaz, Rory and sometimes Alvez (but no one lets him stand up!).

I'll be cheering on Nate in this one. It's his chance to show how people how people like Sonnen can't win against him at 170.
