Height Increase

Hello, my name is Chris and I was wondering if anyone has experienced any sort of height growth from yoga. I would be happy with .5-1" just for peace of mind and to know that I'm over a certain line. I know it doesn't make a real difference but, like I said, it would give me piece of mind. Is this possible and would the increase be a real increase not just the kind of increase you get from laying down when you sleep over night that goes away? Thanks a lot.

Can't say. I do inversion and 'grow some' after a long stretch. But growth seems to go back down after a while. Feels good to invert anyway. BTW, I am talking about hanging from the ankles upside down, not jsut headstands

If your short you have an advantage with skating / boarding and various balance sports since you have a lower center of gravity.

Yoga helped improve my posture and that added about 1"

ya, I think my posture is pretty good, but maybe I can't really tell that its not that great? Are you just more conscious of your posture or did it actually straighten your back to make you taller. Also, I heard that it lengthens that area between the vertebra in your spine and strengthens the muscles to hold it that way. Is this true?

Both posture and back straightening.

Perhaps someone with more expertise than me can advise on the stronger muscles holding the spine, however I would think that what you are saying is correct.

More important than the actual height difference is how much better you look as your posture improves.
