Handstand

I want to learn Handstand. I'm pretty good at Headstand, and I've done handstand before in another context (Clown College), but I want to work it into my regular practice.

So, how do I start? Against the wall? Set up pillows?

Any suggestions?

Thanks, everyone!

Hi GeekyMary!

I've been working on prep poses for handstand over the last couple of weeks and after reading this article:

Yoga Journal - Yoga Asana Columns - From Fear to Freedom: yogajournal.com/prac...utm_campaign=myj_320

and working with the help of my teacher I'm happy to say I did my first handstand today (against the wall).

Hope the article helps (if not at least it is amusing!).

Good Luck

Sorry I misread your post, I was reading handstand instead of headstand.

No you didn't misread it. I meant Handstand. Adho Mukha Vrkasana. Upside down Tree.

Thanks for the link!
