Lopsided Child's Pose

Savannah2010-07-04 19:42:39 +0000 #1
i noticed that when i am in child's pose i have a marked lean to the right side, i have checked the alignment and it seems to be correct in all places, yet when i settle into the pose i start to lean over.

any ideas why that might be?

it is quite pronounced, unless i keep the right buttock engaged i lean over a lot, could it be a misalignment of the hip?

How is it that you are checking your alignment AND being in the posture at the same time?

How could we possibly supply you with a sound answer based on almost no information about you whatsoever?

Are you tall, short, young, old slim, big, fit, sedentary?

Is your practice a home practice, a studio practice, a practice at the Y?

What is your medical history?

Are you an ashtanga practitioner, Iyengar, Kripalu, Bikram, or acroyoga student?

Who is your teacher? Are you self taught? From what source or sources?

How are you doing the pose? where does it fall in your sequence? How often are you doing it? What other alignment issues are present in your asana practice??
