Hi All

I am planning to buy a book on yoga. Thought i can buy Light on Yoga book. I need feedback about that book.

Has any one bought that book?

How is that book?

How interesting that your signature is a quote from Pattabhi Jois but you're going to buy a book by BKS Iyengar?

I think the feedback you get from the collective here would serve you greatly if you were to be more revealing about you and your practice. In that way the advice and suit or fit you.

While there is a great deal of value in LOY, to me it is NOT a book for beginners. Every yoga, at some point, should own/read it, no doubt.

I use it as a referrence book on occasion. This book can overwhelm you if you are not grounded. One could get far more out of yoga with far less information, but for some this information is vital and necessary.

good luck

Hi Inner Athlete

I believe both the teacher teach the same thing in their own way

About me

Started to learn yoga my self. Then went to the nearby yoga class (KYM)

I have been practicing yoga asanas(Simple ones) for the past two years. Day by day my interest in yoga is increasing. So decided to buy a book. So finally i bought 'Light on Yoga' book.

But when i had rough glance of the book, i thought this book would be helpful only in the future, not now. Because all the poses explained in that book can be practiced only by a yoga expert.
