noise in hip when opening

i started yoga 6 months ago and really enjoy it. But what bothers me is the noise in the hip when it opens. I know a lot of people have it especially when the whole class is doing the triangle position but i've got it now all the time when I sit down or get up in the morning and whenever I do the lotus. i'm jsut not sure if it's a good or a bad sign...?

I've hesitated to answer because the issue raised is no big deal. But some time has passed and no others have weighed in with you so I thought I'd pop back in today.

Please keep in mind I am responding to the general question of the noise you mention and NOT what it is or isn't in YOUR body. You've not shared anything about your practice, it's style, frequency, your body, age, weight, nor your diet and lifestyle so I have no clue as to what is going on with you, per se.

However, generally speaking the body self adjusts all day long. It is not static. And these adjustments are not to be concerned about at all. Please do not work yourself up in a lather about it and know it is neither a "good" or "bad" thing.

If your concern heightens for any reason, go see your health care provider so your mind may be set at ease.
