Namaste Mukunda,

For the past several months (not just in winter), I have been getting a hot red itchy hive (some have been the size of a domino, some the size of my palm - but it's always just one big one, not a patch of smaller bumps) on areas of the body after an extremely deep stretch or compression. For instance, I got one on my left forearm today after you led us through shoulderstand. They've also shown up on my calf during a warrior hold, inner thigh after lotus, and sides, but not necessarily every time I do certain asana or even every yoga session.

What might be causing this sort of inflammatory response?

Many thanks. I cannot express how much I enjoyed learning from you this weekend at your Atlanta workshop - it was wonderful.

I know little about skin conditions other than to say that there is too much pitta in your system. look to less it via diet and being sattvic. See what you are pushing and become more thoughtful. less spicy, nightshade foods (potato, tomoato, eggplant, peppers, tobacco); and eat consistently earlier. namaste mukunda
